WindowServer[xxx]: CGXDeferSurfaces : Invalid source window xxx

WindowServer[xxx]: CGXDeferSurfaces : Invalid source window xxx

I've had this issue for the longest time recurring in my system.log. It has been happening since at least my beta days of Mountain Lion, however Apple doesn't really seem to care much about this issue from my having reported it before.
I was hoping that someone might have some insight as to what may be going on with this error message or how to dig into it a little more deeply so that I can understand what is actually going on here:

I THINK it may have something to do with the Dock as it seems to generally follow messages like:
